DAILY VS WEEKLY VS MONTHLY SKINCARE
So most of us are aware that there’s many options for what to use when it comes to skincare, but what people aren't aware of is when to do these procedures. Not knowing when or how frequently to use these procedures can cause many skin care concerns such a destroyed natural skin barrier, Over Exfoliation , and Breakouts. So here are the basics that should of what should either be done daily, weekly, or monthly.
Cleanser - Morning / Night
Moisturizer- Morning / Night
Sunscreen- Morning
Special cases- Serums are a special case because some serums can only be used in the morning or at night. Some also aren't supposed to be used daily. There is no specific way to tell which are daily and which aren’t. This is because it depends on the ingredients within the serums and the percentages used. So my advice would be to check the box or container it came in because majority of the time it gives you the answer in the instructions
WEEKLY
Chemical / Physical Exfoliant
Face Masks
Retinols and other targeted treatments ( If necessary)
These treatments mentioned are ones that should not be used daily but maybe 1-3 times a week.
MONTHLY
Facials
Now while facials aren’t absolutely necessary they are a great addition to a skincare routine, so if you can afford it I would say go for it.
Now these are just the basic skincare necessities, many people now a days have started creating long complex skincare routines. Which if it works for you then by all means go ahead ,but if you’ve tried a long complex daily routine or weekly routine try simplifying it to see if this helps.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you found these tips helpful !
